Dynamic Learning Opportunities, Inc. matches K-12 students, college students, and adults with qualified tutors throughout the Corpus Christi area. Sessions take place in student homes. ALL elementary, middle school and high school subjects, and most college subjects are covered.

When parents call Dynamic Learning, we clarify specific objectives for their children and match qualified tutors to the students’ needs. You are then contacted directly by the tutor to schedule a mutually convenient time for the initial tutoring session.

One-on-one tutoring takes place in your home, library, or other mutually agreed upon location at a time convenient to your family.

Tutors have proven backgrounds in education and tutoring. Dynamic Learning Opportunities, Inc. only works with instructors who are committed to their craft and who continuously demonstrate integrity, diligence, compassion and professionalism. Tutors are required to meet commitments and consistently receive positive feedback from students and parents.ent

You can expect the tutor to open each session warmly, work with the student to plan the session, keep the student engaged and the session on track, and close the session on a positive note. While working with the student, the tutor will strive to promote a positive learning environment, balance compassion, and caring with discipline and firmness, and reinforce student self-confidence and self-esteem.

Each tutor determines how best to approach a tutoring session based on the subject matter, student goals, and personal style. Your student should make sure to have his or her school textbooks and assignments ready. Tutors may also suggest supplemental materials, such as workbooks or flashcards, as needed. Depending on the student’s needs, tutoring efforts could focus on anything from current work and organization to clarifying missed concepts from past assignments and correcting test mistakes.

The tutor communicates with the student and parents at each session as well as with the Dynamic Learning staff. Tutors are also available to speak with teachers or other specialists via phone and email.

We choose our tutors extremely carefully, so you can anticipate a successful session. In the event the tutor is not a good academic or personal match, we will provide you with a different tutor as well as a free hour of tutoring.

The cost for most tutoring is $35 and up. Specialized courses may have a different rate. Dynamic Learning Opportunities, Inc. accepts personal checks and credit cards through PayPal.

Schedule as many or as few sessions as you need, and feel free to plan as you go. There are no minimums. The approach is flexible to meet changing academic needs. When the subject is mastered, simply let us know you’re finished and that’s it. The tutors know that their goal is to work themselves out of a job!

Tutoring sessions start at 1-hour and can run for as long as you want. The length can vary from session-to-session as long as you inform your tutor in advance for scheduling purposes.

Tutoring can take place as frequently or infrequently as needed, and can change according to your needs. Our only request is that you help the tutor manage his or her time by giving plenty of advanced notice.

Yes, price breaks can be given for twins. However, first, we would consider how your twins prefer to work. Some sets of twins work better as a team while others prefer working separately. Remember, the most important thing is to make sure that each student is getting the most out of each session.

Yes, and price breaks are given for tutoring more than one child. This is a great way to help your child and his/her friends benefit from our personalized tutoring services while sharing the cost with other parents.

Yes. Our goal is to make sure that learning is always taking place, and we recognize that sometimes, through no fault of the student or the tutor, the communication or special “connection” just isn’t there. So, we offer to switch tutors and do not charge you for that original session.

No. Tutors are not allowed to have students in their cars/vehicles for any reason.

Please cancel your scheduled session with the tutor, not with the office. Also please cancel or reschedule at least 24 hours in advance so that tutors can fill the time slot with another student. Note that DLO will bill a full hour for any session scheduled and cancelled unless notice of cancellation is given at least 24 hours prior to the session.

Yes, you will need to sign a contract, but you may prepay for as many hours as you think you will need for your child. Generally, if you expect your child to be tutored one hour per week, then you would pay for 4 hours of tutoring at $35 per hour (for regular tutors), a total of $140. Then you would sign a contract.

Absolutely. We will refund $70. We only charge for the time a student actually spends with the tutor (except in special cases).
